We even have a mountain base (sleeps 8-10) within a couple of hours drive from Preixan. Limited time? Wine tasting can easily take up half a day as can trips to St Hillaire, Limoux, Esperaza, Rennes le Chateau, Quillan and Axat taking you through to the breathtaking Gorges Pierre Lys and St Georges. North  Carcassonne, la Cite, Bastide, Canal du Midi and yes, Carcassonne Plage with its Acro Park, Water Assault Course, walks and swimming area. Not far away are the Motagne Noir.
