Guided walking, ski touring, climbing or GR tours can be arranged through www.timhogan.co.uk- International Mountain Leader. We even have a mountain base (sleeps 8-10) within a couple of hours drive from Preixan. Limited time? We combine routes and transport giving a taste of the Pyrenees linking GR10 - Cathar Way - Canal du Midi - Compostella etc For the less energetic there are visits to Cathar Castles and the local markets of the Aude valley. Wine tasting can easily take up half a day as can trips to St Hillaire, Limoux, Esperaza, Rennes le Chateau, Quillan and Axat taking you through to the breathtaking Gorges Pierre Lys and St Georges. North  Carcassonne, la Cite, Bastide, Canal du Midi and yes, Carcassonne Plage with its Acro Park, Water Assault Course, walks and swimming area. Not far away are the Motagne Noir. Mazamet, Castres, Beziers, Narbonne, Nimes and Montpellier West  Bram, Montsegur (Massacre of the Cathars), Puivert (Film Ninth Gate with Johnny Depp), Castelnaudary (Cassoulet), Foix, Toulouse and Albi East  Perpignan, Palace de Majorca, Canet Plage, Mediterranean, Cote Vermeille then south to Colliore, Banyuls and over the border Figueres, Girona and Barcelona.
