Blue Mountains Tour

The Blue Mountains 1 day tour is an award-winning tour created by Sydney Tours R Us to give visitors to the region the widest ranging experience of the beauty, culture and history of the Blue Mountains in only one day. A small group tour of only up to 21 people, guests are able to interact more freely with the Driver Guide to learn as much as they can about the region throughout the day. Following free hotel pick-ups, the tour officially commences with an excursion of the Sydney 2000 Olympic site to see the location which boasted the “best Olympic Games ever”. Next ,it's a short drive to visit Featherdale Wildlife Park where you can get up close with some of Australia’s unique wildlife including koalas, kangaroos, wallabies, emus, wombats, Tasmanian devils and dingos. Following lunch at a licensed Katoomba restaurant (optional $15 extra, payable on the bus), the tour makes its way to beautiful Wentworth Falls Lake and then onto the breath-taking Leura Cascades. To capture the incredible vista that is the Megalong Valley, the tour makes its way to Cahill’s Lookout from which the grandeur of the Blue Mountains is laid out before you , also an amazing view of the Boars Head rock ! At the next stop, Echo Point, you will view the ‘Three Sisters’, Mt. Solitary ,the Jamieson Valley and Australia’s ‘Grand Canyon’ .At Scenic World, guests will have the opportunity to ride Skyway or Cableway (at own expense). Suspended 270 metres above ancient ravines and with 360° views, Skyway cabins have either electro-glass floors for a bird’s eye view or, for the sturdier footed, there are cabins with seating and solid flooring. Skyway offers the unsurpassed views of Katoomba Falls, the Three Sisters and Jamison Valley stretching to the horizon. Cableway is the largest and steepest aerial cableway in the Southern Hemisphere and transports passengers to and from the Jamison Valley where there is over 2.4km of walkways through pristine rainforest. Guests will also be able to ride the Scenic Railway, the steepest incline railway in the world. This small train takes you slowly down into the valley to embark onto the elevated boardwalk where you can take an interpretive stroll along through the forest . During the tour, you will also have the opportunity to learn a little about the Aboriginal culture of the people of the region including about the boomerang and didgeridoo. Australia’s unique flora is all around. Learn about Lambertia formosa, or ‘Mountain Devil’, which changes from a red flower into the Devil! Back in Leura, the tour explores the renowned manicured gardens of this vibrant township and makes a stop at The Candy Store which carries over 2000 different types of sweet things from across the globe. Enjoy the trip back to Sydney whilst listening to some legendary Aussie Folk music. To round off this incredible day, the tour then moves to the water and cruises into the city along the Parramatta River, under the Sydney Harbour Bridge and then on to Sydney Harbour where the tour ends.
