Delhi - the capital of India a fascinating city with complexities and contradictions, beauty and dynamism where the past co-exists with the present. Many dynasties ruled from here and the city is rich in the architecture of its monuments. Delhi is not only the present metropolis of India but also a necropolis. Because of its location, being on the banks of river Yamuna, many cities have risen and fallen over the last five millenniums. This tree-lined & spacious city is one of India's fastest growing cities.
The Jama Masjid – India’s largest mosque, and stands across the road from the Red Fort. Built in 1656, it is an eloquent reminder of the Mughal religious fervor. Its spacious courtyard holds thousands of the faithful who offer prayers.
After visiting the mosque take a rickshaw ride of Chandani Chowk from Jama Masjid to Bus parking. It is the nerve centre of commercial activity. The narrow lanes have kept alive the traditional workmanship, which makes Delhi famous. A market place right from the times of Mughals, this market still hosts the descendants of royal chefs as also the famous Chudiwali gali (The Bangle lane) and the parathe wali gali.
Thereafter visit of Raj Ghat – the cremation ground of Mahatma Gandhi.
Humayun’s Tomb – This tomb, built in 1570, is of particular cultural significance as it was the first garden-tomb on the Indian subcontinent. It inspired several major architectural innovations, culminating in the construction of the Taj Mahal. Elements in
its design – a squat building, high arched entrances that let in light, topped by a bulbous dome and surrounded by formal gardens.
Qutab Minar – the 239ft sandstone tower is an Indo-Islamic architectural wonder of ancient India. The complex has a number of other important monuments.
Drive past the Secretariat buildings, President’s House. India Gate – (42m high stone memorial arch bearing the names of 85,000 Indian Army soldiers who died in the campaigns of WWI, the Northwest Frontier operations of the same time and the 1919 Afghan fiasco).
Optional: Dinner at Veda Restaurant. The Restaurant interiors are an amalgamation of the elegantly simple and the exquisitely ornate. The rich red bricks, soft strategic lighting, flickering shadows and the low intensity Chandeliers create an earthy feel for the restaurant. The cuisine marries the traditional with the contemporary. Forgotten ancient recipes that might have been faded from memory are given a new lease of life by the master Chefs of the Veda.

After a leisurely buffet breakfast at the hotel, you will be assisted with check-out formalities and will then proceed your journey to Mandawa.
Visit the region of Shekhavati - The typical havelis in Shekhawati consist of two courtyards, an outer one for the men which serves as an extended threshold and the inner one, the domain of the women. The biggest ones sometimes had three or four courtyards and two to three stories high.
Mandawa: founded in the 18th century. Busy little market. It is the town which has been the more exposed to tourism. Dundlod - a tiny village around 8 km from Nawalgarh. Its fort, now converted into a hotel, dates back to 1750.
